Introducing: New Feature to Bypass DND

Dear valued customers,

Since the enforcement of the Do-Not-Disturb policy by the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) on all Telecommunications Company (MTN, GLO, Airtel, Etisalat, etc.) existing subscribers have experienced difficulty in sending Bulk SMS to DND numbers on their respective networks.

Today, we are happy to announce an update to our service that allows you to bypass the DND restriction on all networks. The introduction of this new feature has already been added to our portal and is fully functional. 

The DND bypass feature allows you to reach your contacts whose numbers are on DND by using rUPDATE as the senderID.

To implement this feature, 

  • Click on Compose SMS / Compose Bulk SMS
  • Input your message and check the box – “Send to DND numbers (2 Credits)” 

Your message will deliver to the DND numbers conveniently.

  2. Morning, Nice improvement, equally on the expensive side, i dont get to customise the sender, i have to append it under the msg, which ordinarily a normal sms would do, pls decrease the price,
    also i sent 3 batches of msg today and total number of 140 msg was undelivered or rejected, pls do refund my account, thanks

      The DND-Bypass option does not accommodate alteration of senderID, the delivers with 'rUPDATE' by default.

  6. This DND is the major problem we are having in using your bulk SMS. Please do refund our account to encourage us using it. We sent up to 3 thousand but one thousand plus will be delivered and no refund at Last.Thanks

      Your message did not deliver because of 'Zenith' used as the senderID, the message is considered impersonation since the name is a trademark of a known organisation.

      I'm afraid there can not be a refund for this because we were already charged by the operators.

  8. Merry Christmas. I sent bulk message yesterday to about 191 numbers using DND option and the normal option which is double cost, yet 2 of my numbers and that of about 15 of our planning committee did not get the message
    . now I just paid for another credits to retry. Please how do we reconcile this loss?

  11. Good improvement, i hope when you check the DND BYPASS both the once not in DND will be delivered too,
    secondly, i wish to recommend for improvement on the side of senders ID, i think the character space is too small sometimes it can not accommodate a full name please do something about it, we are in the competitive market others are not like that.

      Both DND and non DND numbers will receive yor message when you check the box.

      The restriction on the length of SenderID is a limitation on technology as no phone can receive more than 11 as ID.

    Even with this new development, you still let us know which of our messages are rejected and which are undelivered and which subsequently expire.

    I must admit, a lot of other bulk SMS providers are not that transparent.

  17. I believe you have a lot to work on, comparing you with many vendor, other vendors only have glo network to use 2 credit per 1 sms for prompt delivering while MTN, Airtel etc remain on 1 credit per sms.

    Again, rUPDATE is used after automatic detection of MTN numbers in the batch of the phone numbers.. while other network still work with your customized sender ID.

  22. Good initiative. But admin, the rate of undelivered and rejected SMS is too much. I'm having the same problem. If there's a refund please can it be general? Instead of asking everyone to submit details for a refund. I've been here for the past 8yrs. You people are the best. Happy New Year.

  27. Hi, so are you saying that there is no option to customise the sender id using the DND option?

    Then when the DND option is checked, does it automatically detect the DND numbers in a batch or you charge the whole batch as DND numbers? Thanks

Goodmorin, please i want to understand the latest development better, so each message of 160 characters is charged as 2 units instead of 1 unit, so will the extra one unit be refunded back or should I be charging 2 units by 160 characters at against 1 unit for 160 characters. Please I need your better explanation so I will know what am doing

      When you send sms using the BYPASS, you will be charged two units per 160 characters. Message sent normally without the bypass remains one unit per page.

    I am having a very big challenge with your platform. Isent bulk SMS on Saturday, 30th December. Many of the messages sent didn't deliver.
    DELIVERED - 674
    UNDELIVERED & REJECTED - 184
    EXPIRED - 54
    The most painful part of it is actually the fact that even those that DELIVERED DIDN'T SEE THE MESSAGES.

    Pls help me out, they management of my place of work have being complaining. I have being so familiar with SMSLive247 and i don't want to change to another.

    I have been reading people saying that their messages were rejected or undelivered and you refunded their units. Well mine have been reporting delivered but some people don't receive the messages. After experimenting with some numbers I found that those numbers were DND numbers as they received the messages when I checked the DND option. So
    are we supposed to get a refund for the numbers that reported delivered but didn't receive the messages?

    Your complaint is not impossible, as it occurs at times with some Airtel numbers but the operator had already charged for them. We are not charged on the rejected ones and that is why we make refunds.

Good day to you, my suggestion is that phone numbers not on DND should,nt be charged 2credits even if u select DND on them,cos many times while sending message you might not know wich of the numbers is on DND so people like me may just decided to select DND for all the contacts both DND and Not DND, hope you understand me.       Numbers on DND can not be known until the message is sent an returns as rejected.

      It is advised that you copy out the rejected ones on your delivery report and send to them via the bypass. To avoid having to contact us daily for refunds.

    I like the quick response that you provide on this platform unfortunately am just seeing it today. However, I do not receive reports as to know which sms was not delivered. I would normally see message sent. Yet i have some people that since last year have been complaining of not receiving our messages any more.

    Please what should be done about it because we cant afford to be paying 2 credits for like 1500 phone numbers monthly. am sure of about 4 particular numbers that do not receive any bulk sms we send other people i dont know their numbers

    To view your delivery report, click on sent messages, select the date and search then click on the batch number (10/10) to get all the phone numbers you sent to and their delivery status.

      The delivery report will be sent to your email box when you send a bulk sms that is 100 and above.

      You can view your delivery report by clicking on ''Sent Messages'' which is on the left hand side of your account. Once the page opens, select the PERIOD and click on the SEARCH button. When the page opens, click on the ''Batch Number'' to view the delivery status of your message.

    This will make for easier sorting/filtering and copying of Rejected Messages' phone numbers for pasting and re-sending via the corporate route.

  45. I believe it is unfair that you charge all bulk sms at 2 units each for both DND and non-DND numbers. The system should be able to sort out which number is DND or not.

      We presently do not have the facility to detect DND numbers before sending, if you are sending to a bulk list you have sent to before, please copy out the rejected ones to be sent on the Bypass.

The moment the box for sending to DND numbers is ticked, the option for providing the sender's name goes off. This is inconveniencing, as one may not know numbers that have activated DND
